Sunset Resort & Villas will be hosting the 4th annual tribute to those who lost their lives at sea,on Saturday March 14 at 7:00 p.m.. This year we will be presenting the design of the memorial, which we plan to start construction immediately after this years ceremony. This year we have some very good presentations and updates on ministry of fisheries recent and planned projects, also there will be an update as to the status of the marine radios, for the fishermen.And of course the reading of the names, which unfortunately this year will include 4 additional fishermen who left from Calabash Bay. There will be a finger food buffett, for 500.00 JA per which will include conch soup, We urge people to come out and support this event as ALL proceeds will go directly into the monument fund.

Could someone tell us where the monument will be erected? I also believe more people should turn up in respect of those fishermen who have lost their lives. I believe it is a good function - however not well attended.

The final decision has not been made on where the monument will be located. Kory is still working out some logistical details on that, but he will keep us posted.
