Hi everyone
My wife and i are looking to rent a villa in T.B. area starting from the 3rd february 2009 for two weeks,so far we have had no joy finding a property.
We are looking for a villa offering the following if possible:
close to the beach
own pool
food included
return transport from Mo Bay
We have a budget of around $3000-$4000.
many thanks for your help

"Food included" - I wouldn't exclude a villa because of this, any one that has a cook will generally shop for you and food isn't that much...our group spent about $150pp for a week, alcohol included, lobster one night, etc...we ate very well. We had 8 people which helps keep costs low but still, that is the ballpark.

Ohlitz makes a good point though if it's only two people my guess is the food will cost more like $200 per person per week. With two, you don't get the economies of cooking for a larger group. Also, it would depend on what kind of alcohol you drink and how much you consume.

Another suggestion is to see if you can make your air tickets from a Saturday to a Saturday. Doing that might make it easier to find an open villa in high season. If you already have your tickets - which I suspect is the case, your dates could make things a bit more difficult.

we spent that per day at least for our family and had to do 40 mile round trips to provide it,please do extensive research on the place you find before you book ,

Check out Sunsplash. It has everything you need.

A lot of people think shopping is fun especially if you go to the open air markets for veggies and fruit. But I would suggest the housekeeper or cook can do shopping much more quickly and efficiently because it might take stopping at four or five places to get all the different things you need, and all those places will not be within walking distance of each other. If you don't know the area and all the stores and places to get food and liquor it could take you all day. To me, that is no way to spend a vacation.

I would recommend Taino Cove.We had our wedding reception and honeymoon there. It was fabulous.

I'll go ahead and suggest Sparkling Waters for you if it is available. The ladies will shop for you if you like, you don't have to go. And it has everything you are looking for and is in your price range.

I wrote a report on our stay there which has a lot more photos and video than their official web site does. It starts here: http://ohliza.blogspot.com/2008/12/jamaica-days-5-6-kingston-to-treasure.html
