Does anyone know of a wireless internet service that will work in the Treasure Beach/Fort Charles area?

There was just a thread posted on 11/26 named "Internet". There was a bit of discussion of wireless connection. Maybe this can help you.

I don't think you will get wireless service in Fort Charles as there are no land lines down there and a land line is required for the router. Great Bay, Calabash Bay, Frenchmans and Billy's Bay can support wireless internet and most villas and hotels have them in place already.

You may also use an ethernet cable with cable internet service/digital internet service and a router to create a wireless transmission, so landline isn't necessary...just another option.

Hooked on TB, I'm not sure if cable internet exists down that way either. Anyone know for sure?

And be sure to block your wireless service against intruders.
