Is there an internet cafe available in Treasure Beach?
I would like to know as well because i will be there next month.. how much does it cost per hour?
there is one that I know of and possibly others. Breds has one it's in the small mall type complex before you come around the curve for the 'main' drag. Was pretty reasonable last time I used it $100J for an hour. I'm guessing it's still there and someone else can probably give you a better description of where it is : )
The Bred's Internet Cafe closed over the summer and, to my knowledge, has not reopened or relocated. Most anywhere you stay will have some kind of a connection though.
The BREDS office at Kingfisher Plaza is currently closed. There is Internet access at Southern Supplies and Services located next to the ice factory and just before the Sandy Bank Primary School.
Check with where you are staying as many places now offer Internet access.
I beleive you can get on-line at Jack Sprat as well.
Thanks
Does Jack Sprat actually have computers you can use? I may not be able to bring mine with me. thanks
Is there any guest houses or hotels in the area that will allow me to use my laptop or their's to connect to the internet?
Can I bring my laptop and connect to Jack Sprats internet if i pay to use the internet?

Last time I tried that I was informed that I needed to be a guest of Jakes to have access to their internet connection.
No Problem, a resort just down the road was kind enough to allow me to use their computer and internet service for no charge - and I was not even a guest at their property.
Just my two cents on this topic......
I've just checked with Jack Sprat. They have wireless Internet there but no computers. There is no charge for the services as long as you patronize the restaurant.
Jake's has a computer, however, guests of the hotel have first priority in using it.
Calabash House has Wi-Fi. Jerry
Is there any problem in using US laptops from Jack Sprats (i.e. wireless location), like there is with US cell phones? I'm barely computer literate, so if this seems a dumb question...
Van, your wireless should work just fine in Jamaica (or anywhere else in the world for that matter). There are no country-specific requirements like there are with cell phones, voltage, etc.
If you can find a hotspot, you should be able to hop on it, assuming you have the password, if any.
Enjoy your trip!
