Christmas/New Year at Doubloon Villa

christmastree

A last-minute guest cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances means that beachfront Doubloon Villa is now available over the Christmas and New Year weeks.

Located on Calabash Bay, five minutes' walk from the New Year festivities at Jake's as well as the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Kingfisher Plaza, this top-end villa with large pool sleeps eight in four newly-decorated double bedrooms.

For full details, take a look at www.doubloonvilla.com or contact Treasure Tours at treasuretours@cwjamaica.com

We're on Calabash Bay beach at the opposite end to the fishing boats. If you're on the road, we are halfway between Kingfisher Plaza and Jake's, next door to Treasure Cot and a very short distance from Delvin's shop and his fabulous conch soup and jerk pork!

I went to the map and saw where Doubloon is located but, that still do not really help as I do not know where Lyric or Calabash House is either.
From a child's memory I'm trying to visualized how it was then from how it must be now.

I have not been home for many, many years and would like to stay somewhere safe and clean with good/honest people around me knowing that I can trust whomever is in charge.

Like anywhere in the world we all should do our homework before we travel. I have family in Treasure Beach but would like to stay by myself and just visit.

I love my family just want it this way. I really need a very peacefull vacation, Not getting in anyone's way or they in mine.
I can only remember the Treasure Beach Hotel,Falichon, and Treasure Cot Guess House.

In my humble opinion Toronto Girl, I don't know anywhere that is not safe, clean with good/honest people around in Treasure Beach. If you have family here, I'm sure they can recommend a specific place.

Doubloon is across the street from Lancel Graham's house and next door to the old Senior house. Doubloon was formerly owned by the Demshans (not sure if I spelled that right). The caretaker is Robert Wright who is originally from Ridge Pen and has family here in TB and the housekeepers are Hio Moxam, maiden named Gordon from Calabash Bay and Lavern Chedda (Miss Sheila Hamilton's daughter).

I hope this helps.

Dubloon was owned by the Iver's. Treasure Cot was and still is owned by the Denshams/Henzell's.

I do need to take a trip. I feel lost.

By the way when I mentioned clean/honest I did not mean to offend anyone.

You all know beautiful pictures sometimes do not do justic and, that is certainly not enough for anyone to go by when planning a vacation.

Yes I do have family there but, seeing my visit is going to be a surprise I do not want to start asking for information on any of these places.

By the way, thanks Rebecca.

Toranto Girl,
Hopes this helps, Calabash House was formerly called villa Caprice (I think ) right at Calabash Bay corner. Hendricks used to own it and the Wiggans used to live there. It's now owned by Jason Henzell ( I Think).

Slight correction, Help. You're talking about the place called Calabash Bay, not to be confused with the actual bay of water that it's on which has the same name. (Or is that ~sure~ to be confused with... :-)

Calabash House is a smaller place next door (towards Jakes)

Toronto Girl, I am a Toronto Girl 2 and I was at Doubloon 2 yrs ago for my wedding. You will have no problem with cleanliness, safety and honest staff! and its in a very central location.

As for lizards, I am a freak too, and as people are saying you can't guarantee they won't get it but if I recall there were screens on the windows and I kept the bedroom door shut all the time. Besides after 3-4 days you and the lizards get to have an understanding with each other, you dont bother them and they won't bother you! :-)

Hope this helps....
