I love this time of year. The anticipation of all us visitors planning our trips away from the frozen tundras. The new posts pick up. Lots more questions, and lots of enthusiastic tourists, and also lots of TB friends who will smile when they see their old frinds again, and prepare to meet new ones. Lots of long term friends. Those who ask for nothing except our friendships and conversation. (Of course some business and income will surely be appreciated!).
I told one of my friends in TB this fall.."Don't ask, and you shall receive".
I am only speaking for myself, but I sure don't mind sharing with someone who doesn't pester me for handouts. That is why I am in TB and not Negril anymore. I really warm up to the guy who just says "hi" to me and keeps walking. I am drawn to him. And then, the seeds of friendship are planted further..

I agree mnken, you can feel the building excitment and anticipation in the air. We are all gearing up for the season and are looking forward to greeting old friends and meeting new ones!

Even the temperature in the air has changed. Last night was downright chilly. I would guess it was in the high 70's!

ahhhhhh
Rebecca do you have to rub it in
I sense the big smurk on your face as you typed that :-)
Last night we had snow and lots of people nearby lost current due to to much snow

My sympathies to you Nanook! And you were right, I did have a smirk on my face when typing the above msg.

I remember all to well those massive snow storms and the struggle to keep the wood stove going with snow soaked wood. I still felt fortunate as the wood stove keeps going even when the current is out.

Thinking of this just makes me love my surroundings even more. I woke up to a brilliant sunrise this morning showing lots of oranges and golds. Then I walked out on my verandah dressed in shorts and a sleeveless shirt and saw a rainbow in the distance. I am so blessed!
