Is it possible for 2 people to just wander into town and find a place to stay? How about in January? Are we crazy? My girlfriend and I would love to check out TB. We have no set itinerary past Jan. 8 in Negril...nor do we want to have a set itinerary. But we also don't want to be stuck in a serene paradise without lodging. So how do our chances look? We understand there are no guarantees. Opinions would be greatly appreciated. Hope to see you in January!

You will never have any problem finding a place in TB, no reservations needed. Unless you are going to stay at one of the "upscale" places.
At least I have never has any problem finding a place there, and I NEVER reserve a room no matter where in the world I travel to. Unless I arrive doing a festival time.
So I will see you in January in TB ?
ONE LOVE !!
Mike

Thanks a lot for the advice Mike. If anyone else has an insider's opinion I'm listening.

As for seeing you in January, I hope to. I'm fairly sure we'll be there for a few days at least. Sounds like the perfect place for an authentic and laid back adventure.

You should be able to find availability during that time. Many places do not have someone on property 24/7 so it would be best if you sought a place to stay before 5 p.m. That way you have a better chance of finding someone on property who could assist you with accommodations.
