We had the pleasure of dining at Marblue's restaurant about two weeks ago and tried their new prix fixe menu. We had a delicious soup, wonderful fish and vegetables, and a great dessert. Everything was served beautifully, and the setting is delightful.
We highly recommended this restaurant.
thank you so much, see u soon
what is a prix fixe menu?
This is a menu that offers 2 or 3 courses at one set price. For example:
appetizer, main course, dessert = $1000.00
We've seen this type of menu most commonly in Europe. (It's pronounced pree fix-ay.) A restaurant will offer one of more multi-course meals for a fixed price, at a lower cost than most of their other meals; beverages, taxes, and tips are usually additional. This is done in an effort to attract diners and is almost always a very good deal for the patrons. (The "downside" is there are not many choices, and substitutions are generally not allowed.) Our dinner included soup, fish, vegetables, and a dessert.
There are also other items on the menu from which one can order.
I admit my French pronounciation is horrid, and more than one person called it to my attention. "Prix fixe" is pronounced either PREE FIKS or PREE FEEKS. My apologies.
