Bowl can we send some assistance to you by Western Union?

If so could you give me your details at: tainocacique2004@yahoo.com.

Thanks.

In this case I think money gram is the best way.Western union can be very expensive. The savings via money gram compared to western union could stretch further for these children.I would also like to help.

Bowl I know lots of women who lost their husbands, boyfriends and family at sea. After the loss they always work for the kids. I had was to do that. I worked for my two kids, when their father went to sea and never return. I even send them to high school. Now my kids live here with me and are in very good jobs because of the education they had in Jamaica. I worked for them because I was strong and healthy and too proud to asked for help.

Bowl, forget negativity.I would suggest the first donation you get.try to open an account on their behalf at NCB.give the account number and donations could be sent directly to the account without any fees.I am willing to send the first donation to open that account. Please post info.No adaption is necessary. The mothers are strong and healthy just need a little assistance. The way kevin went he didn't have time for goodbyes. So the moms have to hold on to their little treasures which are the children and honor Kevin. Please help them survive.

I am so happy to see that someone is doing this- we in North Ameerica have our struggles too, but every little bit can help a child.

Just Curious you said the wrong thing. You have to say that Kevin is from a big family and they should know to help. I know Kevin and all the families.

Would this fund be for all five of Kevin`s children and their mother`s? Would it be ongoing monthly payments? or a one time thing?

Every child need love and happiness,it doesn't matter who they are or what family they are from. I use to live in Jamdown and I have left there a few years ago and when I was there things were very hard and I know things has gotten worst, so if anyone can help those kids, please do so. Children should not suffer. They are a blessing from God, dont matter what the circumstances are these kids need help. LET US JUST THINK OF THE WAY THEY BECAME FATHERLESS.My heart goes out to all the families who have lost love ones at sea, remember, there wasn't any good bye words were spoken, no hugs and there were no (BODIES) to be buried. God will surely bless those who are willing to come forward to help. The good we do today will follow us tomorrow. So I think what Bowl is doing is a good idea.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
LIKE A COMPASS, THE BIBLE ALWAYS POINTS YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

I wish everyone would stop saying things are hard in Jamaica. We all work to sustain ourselves, and hardship is a global cry, so let's help whoever, whomever, whenever we can. There is a blessing for that.

I am not trying to solve everybody's problems.
I said at the start two kids that are my neighbours. I know when they are hungry, and I know when they are not in school and the size of their family or how proud they are wont put a meal on their table.
I operate a grocery shop and I make sure they never go to bed hungry. Curious, Kevin's mother
is a lady from Burnt Savanah, I'll give you her name in my next posting.

I agree with you, Smiles.
I am Jamaican and I do live in Jamaica so I know of the challenges we face. But, as we all know (if some didn't know before) times are also difficult in even the most developed economies, including the United States. Let's face up to the fact that many of the benefactors from the US who have been supporting worthy causes in Treasure Beach and elsewhere in Jamaica will now have less spare cash. Some ongoing programmes might face difficulties now as the foreign funds dry up. If these programmes are really meaningful to the community then members of the community will have to begin contributing to them, no matter how small it is.

I believe these two children mother is the daughter on Miss Vincy from Bluntas district. This lady helped a lot of people in her time, she washed and clean for so many in Treasure Beach. Lets all give what we can, they are our children too.

A concert will be held on Sunday October 19th, as a fundraiser for the eight children of the four fishermen lost at sea in July. All ticket sales and gate entry fees will be for this initiative. Profits made from food and drinks sold will also be donated to this cause.

The cost is $300 per person. Gate opens at 7 p.m. We will have performances from local church groups, Gregory Isaacs, Dean Fraser and Amerijah Production from the USA - Special thanks to Sandra Merton for arranging these persons to perform, she is a GOD bless.

We will also have a video being shown on best practices for the fishing industry by the Nature Conservancy. We encourage everyone to come out and support this worthy cause.

Money raised will be evenly distributed amongst the eight children and will be placed in an account for their educational needs. Parents will not be allowed to withdraw all the money at once, but on a periodic basis.

Hi, P.J.

Thanks for your empathic concern towards my uncle’s children.

Is it possible to obtain details of any account that might be held for the purpose/ nordiacampbell@gmail.com ?. If this is not possible what are the other options in getting aid through to the children?

Again your effort is greatly appreciated, the good you intend in this life is always a bonus.

I also greatly respect all the individuals who have extended their kindness for my uncle’s children. God bless you all.

Much Respect.

Contribution for the children can be sent to Breds, specifying that it is for the children of the fishermen. You can also wait until the accounts are established, and send deposits directly to the accounts.

The systematic donation aid that the Breds will be accommodating in respect of children is awesomely great. This is a wonderfully long term reaching aid for the children ,which I think is well planned and organised in the best interest of the children.

To inform you all at the Breds that your consideration and expertise in the planning of the event and long term goal of the children's future is highly appreciated. Thank you all so much.

I opened an account for (Mingy and Fargo) James
at the Black River branch of BNS. The account no.
is 409306 and the phone no. 965-2251.
Anyone willing to donate to this worthy cause
please feel free to do so.
I am trying to make sure they go to school.
What I plan to do is have them come to me ever
school morning and collect their lunch and break
and taxi fare which I have checked out to be J$250.00 each daily.
This transaction will be very transparent to any
doner or the mother of the kids.
I will keep a record signed by the mother for every dollar payout to them.
Hope to hear from you doners.
Bowl.
