$500 may not be much money, but it may be for someone who you feel may genuinly benefit or truly desire this important skill.
I will be in TB on the 27th, a day after this is to be completed. I would be happy to contribute towards paying the J$500 for 2 deserving individuals when I arrive.

Turey, why can't you learn CPR in whatever country you are in. There are lot's of private as well as volunteer groups that offer it as also the Fire Dept.

Everyone should take the opportunity whereever you are

You're right Health 101.

My son is planning to do a basic firemans course which involves CPR here, I hope he has time to give his dad refreshers.

Still would like to be in TB!

Adding to the discussion I would encourages individuals to consider the relevancy of obtaining such certificate. The skills that can be gain from carrying out the training on (First Aid and CPR ) are extremely important. These skills can help in situation such as assessing a casualty, for example an unconscious adult. In a scenario where there is a unconscious individual one would apply both First Aid and CPR rules. These skills can be useful to demonstrate within the home where accidences occurs as well as in public places where such cases presents itself frequently. Having such skills could help save life.

Since becoming a Student Nurse I have learnt quite a lot about First Aid and so on, that can be helpful in emergency situations and trust me the procedures are very simple to get use to.
