If you have received any damages to appliances, etc. due to the massive power surges from JPS on Sunday please write to:
Dawn Graham,
Claims Adjudicator for JPS
6 Knutsford Blvd.
Kingston 5
The letter must list what was damaged, when it was damaged, your address and contact information. They are then supposed to send an investigator out to your property to inspect the damaged goods.
I know just in my home alone, I lost my modem, wireless router, and the surge protector all was plugged into. I will write my letter today!
I encourage all who received damage to write in, and maybe if JPS receives loads of letters from many in the same community claiming damages done at the same time, they cannot deny the problem or cause (let's hope).
Thank you to Kory South for supplying the above information.
Just some additional information - when submitting letter to JPS regarding damage to electrical appliances etc, it is important that you send a repair estimate and proforma invoice depending on the damage. Also if you have access to a photocopier, make a copy of the letter, estimate and proforma invoice.
...and...damage from power surges.
Plants eat light, so can we now. Photovoltaics.
Waves are raised by wind, so can we capture the breezes. Wind Turbines.
