We want to come to Treasure Beach and are willing to do so in either low season or high season. We want to stay in a villa because there are five of us. Would prefer to be on the beach. Is anyone offering any special sale prices? We do not want to try to negotiate for the impossible, and we realize villas need to make a profit. I would also like to know if anyone can make suggestions for less expensive travel from the NY area.
Contact us at treasuretours@cwjamaica.com and we can see what we can do for you.
Airfares are often less if you do not fly on the weekends. I think several villas would bend their Sat-Sat rules for you especially if you planned to stay for 10 days or more.
I think Viking house has a room or rooms that sleep a family of five and that is on or very close to the beach-very very cheap too

They do. Check out the site.
I stay at a place called coconut cottage, it was very nice it has six that sleep two per room it is right across the road from the beach and has a nice sea veiw the rate is very affordable for more inf you can email

Thank you for the various suggestions. We will certainly look into some of them. Does anyone have any low airfare suggestions? It seems that prices keep going up.
U.S. Air from LaGuardia to Montego Bay with a stopover in Charlotte has usually been cheapest. Non-stop prices are getting crazy. By far one of the best values for a villa in Treasure Beach is Lyric. Check it out but be aware that they are nearly booked solid so don't wait til the last minute.
If you get a booking for lyric then you have been blessed for it is truly a magical beach house.
We were five when we stayed there.
Polly and Lancel took the best care of us and have always been welcoming to me on the road whenever and wherever we see each other.
Seaside Villa also looks like a wonderful place to stay - I believe that I would prefer the 2nd floor to take advantage of the breeze from the sea.
Sorry I have no input for bargin flights - I usually book very last minute and have found the best values that way. Kind of a hard thing to do for most people.
check out Beach Villas by Tiverton House. Great people to work with! We LOVE the Villa Arcadia, but it is not on the beach.
If you want your own private cottage which is totally rustic cheap and beautiful for 5, Try Ital Rest, call them on

We definitely want our own place, not part of a complex or being in a hotel. This probably means a villa. (Lyric is one that's been recommended.) We would like to be on the water with our own beach or easy access to a beach. It would be wonderful if someone were there to shop for food and cook meals, because we want this to be a REAL vacation. Probably need 3 bedrooms. A pool would be nice but is not imperative.
Hikaru is beautiful and right on the beach. They have a very nice staff including a cook. I never stayed there but have been in the place. The pool is great.
Irie Rest is a very short walk to the beach.
The rooms are clean and comfortable (with ac). The cook (Pauline) is a lovely person and a great cook. When I was there you could get a really nice meal cheap. Lennie is a charming host and has lots of family in the area. There is a little bar next door.
Shakespeare Cottage has a number of rooms and seperate cottage. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is is very nice house keeper. We did our own cooking. Shakespeare is not that far from beach and places to eat. The family that owns the place lives near by and are very nice.
Viking's House is very close to the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We did our own cooking (the owners were out of the country) but the owners are there now and offer meals. The place is surrounded by Viking's family.
I have never actually stayed at Ital Rest but I have been on the property. It is really clean and cute (the photos do not do the place justice. It is much cuter in person). It is very close to the beach (same beach and family as Viking's House). They serve food.
All of the bays are nice and have their own vibe. None of the beaches are crowded. There are more places to eat and drink around Frenchmens and Calabash Bays. But, I personally prefer Great Bay and Billy's Bay.
I have never stayed in Fort Charles (yet). I have been in Unforgettable (it is fabulous). I was on the grounds of another place (I think it was something like Dream Away. It was also beautiful. Button Bay looks awesome as the Pon De Rock (but Pon De Rock is only one room)
Enjoy TB where ever you decide to stay.

Irie Rest in Billy's Bay has a new 'apartment'. It's a spacious top floor suite with its own kitchen, screened-in dining room, a huge bedroom and bath. On the bottom floor are two nice individual rooms with their own baths. The building is next to the original Irie Rest where Pauline cooks and there are guest rooms, a bar, a likkle gift shop and some rental stuff. The Apartment is great because you can either cook your own food , hire a cook or eat from Pauline's kitchen on the verandah in the other building. There's a lovely garden that connects the two buildings, it's private, there's a Skipper's store next door, and it's a 2 minute walk to the beach. Very affordable. We always stay there.
Burt and Susan:
Three bedrooms? Check out Rainbow Point, or even Rainbow Tree, if your group is large. Both pretty nice places.
Burt and Susan:
Lyric is nice. La Serena is also nice (great floor plan, very comfy beds - new!), as is Doubloon.
Having a pool is desirable, since the sea there can sometimes be rough.
Have fun!
I started to get very concerned about the availability of seats after seeing something on TV last night about the elimination of 60,000 seats worldwide - 20,000 taken from the U.S. alone. From what I gather, these seats are being taken away mainly from small and medium markets. Checked NY to MoBay, and Air Jamaica still seems to have their full schedule posted, some flights with remarkably decent prices. Others, yes, were already sold out. Better make our reservations soon. FYI, AJ still is letting you have two check on bags for no extra money.
