I will be working from Jamaica as of August 1st., 2008 and will be needing the services of A Telephone Software Support Technician.

This is a great opportunity for a University Graduate that need on hands experience in Telephone support, Software Troubleshooting, setting up and Monitoring VPNs, Setting up., Troubleshooting and resolving network issues. Able to speak Spanish is a plus, but must be very fluent in the use of the English Language.

I will need an assistant when I start working in Jamaica and am looking at a August 1st. 2008-August 31st. 2008 start date.
The hours will be Monday through Saturdays 9:00am-5:00pm initially.
The candidate will be required to proficiently perform the following duties:

Software Support Technician -
a: Be able to take phone calls from our customers, understanding the problem, troubleshooting the problem and getting the problem resolved in an expeditious manner.
b: Be able to learn our software product and assist with training customers in the use of the software.
c: Telephone communicating skills is a must and must be proficient in the use of the English Language.
d: The ability to speak Spanish is a very big Plus in selecting the candidate.
e: Must have an understanding of how networks function (Linux, Windows Peer to Peer, VPN Tunnels, Internet connectivity as relative to VPNs)
f: Must have an understanding of how the hardware is set up to establish network connectivity (VPN tunnels).
g: Must be knowledgeable in how Modems interact with Routers (Multitech Routefinders, model 550, 560 and 820) (Juniper Routers) How to create VPN tunnels and restore tunnels that are down for various reasons.
h: Need to understand the use of static LAN IP addresses in setting up Computer workstations, Print servers, Networkable Printers, Digi's etc on the VPN and Networks.

I had to read this when I saw Vertical Computer Systems. My very good friend worked for this company here in Florida for over ten years but, he has moved on and is now working as a manager in a very big co-operation.
Pity he do not want to leave Florida or else he would be the right person for the job even though he would feel like he was demoted.(smile).

The salary is based on qualifications. I would rather not disclose Salaries until I see a Resume. Along with a resume, please indicate salary desired.
