I just came back from a road trip with my eldest, we only disagreed once, and my youngest.

We drove half day to a lake in the desert (I said desert...in Canada!) in British Columbia. Osoyoos. It was hot as TB can get and must have been as stunning in it's own way before modern man stepped in.

Woke up to a lovely sunrise in a Holiday Inn.......Brrrrehhhh....gas mower to keep the lawn edge trimmed.

Clump....EhEhEhEh brrrrmmm....double trailer with Coca Cola heading out with carbonated sugar water for the hypoglycemics.

Breeee...one nex gas mower for the edge of the edge. Canadians them invented neat...to a T. Then traffic.

Dem build the main road around and nex to the lake and killed the main attraction...Primal Beauty in natural quiet. Parking and traffic could have been planned aways off and a trek to the beach between shade and fruit trees, musicians, artists, craftspeople and vendors part of the pleasure.

Pickney dem ride jet ski and we talked of land in the hills away from the noise and near the elk, deer and bears. I understand their etiquette...to a degreee.

So many blessings.

So worth protecting.
