You can follow the road and it's about a 30 minute walk. There is a little shortcut we take at the end of the Taino Cove road. You'll see the path and it takes off about 5-10 minutes. We always walked and you'll get to Kingfisher plaza and head back towards the sea (left) and keep following the road. There is a sidewalk at this section. People are happy to help you with directions and can show you the way. The beach way is rough as you will walk on the jagged rock coral but it is great for finding shells and vewing the sea. We did this in the daytime. I personally think the beach walk is quicker but it is a bit tougher. You can't walk the beach all the way to Jakes but it will take you to Frenchman's Bay and you can catch the road there. Make a left and follow it to Jakes. Make sure you bring your flashlight at nightime and I wouldn't walk the beach at night. The tide comes in and the waves can be very tall and knock you off. We always felt very safe walking and meeting our friends along the way. Oh and you'll hear the goats at nighttime. Don't be afraid, their crying scared us one night. Have fun! If you get lost just ask for help.
