When i was attending Sandy Bank Primary, there used to be a volunteer by the name of Miss.Mary, does anybody know where she is now.
I have fond memories of her and would love to get in touch with her, she taught me some great lessons...

Her name is Mary Sherman. I, too, have fond memories of her. I am not sure where she is now, but I will try to find out.

Thanks Rebecca
She would not remember me but I can remember sitting on the corridor in front of what was then the grade 5 classroom and having her teach me to tie my shoelace. I never forgot after she taught me.
I hope she is well though...

How wonderful Mary's interest in children and her act of kindness made such a memorable impact on Tresan. To me, the most important "lesson" from this interchange is that caring people have the ability to make profound changes in the lives of others; and in doing so, they probably also make positive changes in their own lives.

We hope similar things happen when the U VA students are in Treasure Beach each year; even though they are there for only a week, they care deeply for the young people with whom they interact. If each of them positively influences only one child, that is an accomplishment of which they can be proud.

Tresan, I hope you are able to get in touch with Mary. She would be delighted to know you remember what she did for you after all these years.

I certainly hope I will Mrs.Kennedy, as I think that special people come into our lives and impact positively and we dont even realize the value of their actions untill much later in life.
Miss Mary is one such individual among others whom impacted my life positively when I was a child. I appreciate her sacrifice and that of other people who took time out to be kind and caring. I certainly endorse the volunteers that work yet briefly within the schools.
